MetalKraft Technologies Named Stage 2 CABLE Prize Winner, Apr 5, 2023

MetalKraft Technologies has been named one of seven winning teams for the Stage 2 prize in the CABLE conductor manufacturing competition hosted by the U.S. Department of Energy. The team, led by Dr. Frank Kraft of MetalKraft Technologies, was awarded $200,000 and an additional $100,000 in technical assistance vouchers. In Stage 2, the team submitted a lab-scale sample of copper-graphene ultra-wire with small amounts of commercially available low-defect crystalline graphene.

Competition Info

The CABLE prize was launched by the DOE to encourage innovation in conductivity-enhanced materials in order to lower power costs and improve energy efficiency.
